Description

What is skruzdėlynas?

Skruzdėlynas is a wonderful confectionery item made of wheat flour. From the dough of wheat flour, thin sheets are made, then they are boiled in oil, put into a pile on top of each other, honey is poured on them and poppies are added. In that way, you build a desirable size crispy skruzdėlynas which taste remains great for a long time.

Skruzdėlynai are those confectioneries that remind holidays, get-togethers and, of course, weddings the most. Traditional skruzdėlynai will be a decoration on the table during any festival and let you enjoy a beautiful view. “Lašų duonos” skruzdėlynai are special because every sheet of them is dipped into honey syrup and then sprinkled in poppies. The price of skruzdėlynas depends on its size, therefore, the price can vary. Custom skruzdėlynai are made: from little to very huge.
