The process of bread making became easier when bread bakeries were expanded and modernized. Today without much effort each of us can go to the nearest bakery and buy still warm and flavourful loaf of bread with a crispy crust. Of course, you should be very careful, when choosing the bakery: bread products have to meet the highest standards.

Our bakery “Lašų duona” was founded 25 years ago and the bakery activity is exceptional because we grow crop cultures by ourselves; later we make the most wonderful bread and pies products of them. Scalded dark bread which we bake is surprisingly fluffy and soft.

Today Borodino bread is one of the most flavourful of natural ferment bread products. Its name came from the surname of famous Russian composer Alexander Porfiryevich Borodin. It is said that during his trip with friends in Italy he made this amazing taste bread. It is sweet-and-sour scalded bread that stays fresh for a long time.

Coriander seeds give it a special taste and flavour.

Ingredients of this dark bread are the following: even 66% of rye flour, 34% of wheat flour, water, rye grist, yeast and coriander which gives an exceptional flavour. Borodino bread is scalded bread which is prepared by following the old traditions of bread baking.
